Guests from Switzerland at Elola

Elola recently welcomed a group of 13 Swiss tourists led by Monique Frey and accompanied by tour operator Aelita Chobanyan. Our guests had the chance to discover the entire journey of cheesemaking: touring the factory, learning about the production process, and visiting Elola's cellars, which left a particularly strong impression on them. One of the most pleasant moments was, perhaps, stepping out of the cold refrigerated rooms into the warm and welcoming tasting room. There, a tasting of more than ten varieties of cheese awaited the guests, including our new Gohar and Arpi cheeses. And at the end, as has already become a lovely tradition, we held a small tasting competition. By the guests' vote, Arpi cheese took first place, Gohar came second, and the basturma cheese finished third. For us, visits like this are much more than a factory tour. They are an opportunity to share our work, the story behind our cheeses, and the love and care we put into every product. We ended the day with smiles, warm conversations, and, of course, a lovely group photo. We thank our Swiss guests for sharing a day at Elola with us. May this tasting leave behind not only the taste of cheese, but also the memory of Syunik's warmth and hospitality.
